A Shop in the Foothills

These images offer a glimpse inside our shop and into the hands-on process behind every piece we make. From the quiet early stages of selecting and milling lumber to the focused work of
shaping, joining, and finishing, this is where ideas take physical form.
More than just a workspace, the shop is where tradition, patience, and craftsmanship come together. Each photo captures a moment in the ongoing story of making something meant to last.

The Foothills

Nestled in the northern California foothills, Browns Valley traces its roots back to the Gold Rush era of the mid-1800s. It is known for its rolling oak-studded hills and open skies. A quiet agricultural community, shaped by ranching, farming and a deep connection to the surrounding land.
Tucked within this landscape is our shop, surrounded by natural beauty and rich local history. The foothills offer a sense of continuity that reflects California’s early pioneer spirit, a place where tradition, creativity and the land itself remain closely intertwined.
